Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the publisher said: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an review of allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.
The firm declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released more than 40 books in total, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.

He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
